I thought the same after giving birth to my daughter. I suffered a lot during postportum cus I had no one to help and 0% preparation on how to take care of a baby. I wish I had known more, but now looking back, the sufferings have made me stronger and I am extremely thankful for internet mom groups for giving me advice whenever I need them. My daughter is 19 months old and I still nurse her to sleep or contact sleep cus that is the only way for me to get a full night sleep. Hang in there, it will get easier. Good Luck!.

In case it helps anyone... As a postpartum nurse, sleep schedules are not really achievable at all for the first 6 weeks unless your baby does it for themselves. They haven't got a chronological memory. So you're not failing if life is a whirl of waking and sleeping all hours of the day and you feel like you're being blown by the wind!
